We operate bus services in the south of Sweden where our focus on customer service and growth has delivered an increase in passenger numbers of more than 40 per cent since 2005.

In 2009 we became the first new entrant into the Stockholm bus market in 10 years, when we began operating 164 buses in the capital city.

We operate a nine-year rail contract in southern Sweden and are working with the local transport authority to grow passenger numbers, mobilise new trains, increase the network size and deliver timetable improvements.

Arriva expands its rail operations in the country with a new contract operating between Göteborg and Örebro.

Arriva became the first entrant into the Stockholm bus market in 10 years when it began operating 164 buses in the Swedish capital.

Arriva won an eight-year contract to operate buses in the Halland region of southern Sweden, starting June 2010.

2006
Arriva wins entry into the Swedish rail market with a nine-year contract to operate the Pagatag regional train services in the Skåne region of southern Sweden (contract begins in 2007).

1997
Arriva enters the Swedish transport market when it bought a Danish company with a Swedish bus operation.
